Dear Sophie,
You turned 9 months old 3 days ago. As usual we took you to the local clinic for your checkup. Attually it's more like the nurses asking a few questions and taking your weight and measurements. No jabs this time.
You are now able to crawl quite fast and we are having our hands full trying to keep up with you. We just wonder what would it be like when it's time for you to walk. You are able to pull yourself up to a standing position but you still need to hold on to something. I am trying to get you to cruise but so far, you are just doing small steps.
One thing we seem to notice is that you are extermely determined, eventhough you sometimes fall down when climbing over things or trying to stand up, you seem to continue to pick yourself up and continue. I guess that's a good thing as I always believed that you should not give up too easily on what you want.
Another habit that we noticed about you is that you are a curious little girl. Everything seem to attrat your attention and when something got your attention you will go for it. You also seem to be fascinated when you see children, I guess it's because Auntie Babysitter's daughter always play with you and in effect you seem to like kids. I guess that could be a good thing too and hopefully that will develop into good social skills.
One thing about you is that you seem to always seem to keep us on our toes. Once we thought we have figured out your pattern, you seem to switch. Your current trend now is to scream and cry everytime we try to change your clothes. Something seem to trigger you whan we take your clothes off. Dunno why. Another thing that you seem to do now is that you will struggle when we change your diapers. somehow, you will turn and struggle when the wanna put on a new diaper. You seem to be more contended to be bottom less. Hope you are not setting a new fashion trend. Your teeth seem to have stopped sprouting out after the two top and two bottom teeth. I guess you have already know that 4 teeth is more than enough to menace mommy and me :)
Anyway, meancing or not, daddy still loves you. and very much i might add. So come over for a hug after reading this.
love,
baba
