of birdies and wifey's godmum...

I think it's no secret that our little girl do look a bit like a boy and sometimes do get mistaken for a boy. We get a lot of "Oh, she's a girl is it? Nvm la, old people say, next one sure will be boy liao". As if there is something wrong with having a daughter la. But I guess it's just that some folks still get stuck in the old thinking that having a son is good mentality.

Anyway, that's not the story here. Wifey's godmum have a special throry about the "next one will be a boy thing". According to her, before Sophie was born, the 'birdie' was supposed to fly into wifey's womb and attach itself to Sophie and she will be born a boy. but the Sophie came out before the 'birdie' arrive and now is left inside wifey's womb. So it will attach itself to our next one...

Doesn't makes much sense medically, but since the logic jives, who am I to disagree :)

We heard that she passed away yesterday. I have only met her a few times and do not know her well. So i guess i'll remember her as the lady who told wifey that she has a 'birdie' in her womb.
