of constipation and lap cheong...

I've never thought I'd say this but i don't recall ever happier to have smell and see poop. Sophie have not been pooping since Friday and i think due to that her feeding schedule and quantity have been disrupted. She will just drink 2 oz at max and refuse to drink any further and then 1 or 2 hrs later she will start to cry and that got me and wifey all messed up. Due to the constipation, her mood have been swinging like a hollywood diva on a major PMS. One minute she will be happy and laughing and then another, she will be wailing her lungs out as if mr clooney have dumped her after promising to settle down with her.

Today was no different. Wait. Let me correct that. Today was different. Her mood was worse. For the anount of crying that she had done, i am pretty sure that our neighbours are very convinced that we are some kind of sick sadistic child abusers. No anount of 'mmmm mmmmpth' were able to make her poop and by afternoon, she stomach was pretty much bloated.

Anyway, long story short, by evening she was crying again and sensing that she might be hungry we fed her, and at the 3oz mark, she started to make her pooping face. Wifey got all excited and said "There! There! she's gonna poop, I know that face". I quickly took off her pants and diapers but Nothing! but we kept mmmm mmmpth-ing her and finally we saw it. The tip of a little green turd coming out. after a few push one small piece came out. But we kept on cheering her and came the long one. And this one is long! as a bonus, there was also a small poof of air as it came out. It looked a bit like a mini 'lap cheong' except that it's yellowish with littke streaks of olive green.

And then there was the feeling like you are running freely in an open field (ala julie andrews in the opening scene in The Sound of Music). Lega nyerrrrrr.....

Nope, this is not her position when the little lap cheong came out. Just and old photo of her sleeping. We put her to sleep on her tummy and as she slept she just curled up to this position.
