of haze and pseudo chinese kopitiam...
I am not sure if this is a common thing or if there are any prove to it, but according to wifey, pregnant women should try to avoid iced drinks as much as possible. According to general wisdom, drinking iced drinks will cause to baby to have weak respiratory system when she grows up. So wifey have been avoiding iced drinks during her pregnancy*. According to wifey, her hair dresser drank a lot of iced drinks during her pregnancy and now her boy gets sick easily.
*note to baby: Girl Girl, please make special note on this especially when you get your first, second and subsequent paychecks.
And yeah, did I mention the haze thingy? This haze thingy is really making everything difficult. I am not sure if it is something psychological or physiological, but it really makes wifey and I feel a bit mang chang (moody). Not to forget the heat, the afternoons will seem to be a bit heaty and just a few minutes out in the sun will really affect us. So anyway, we had rather hot and heaty (weather , not food) lunch yesterday. We went to that pseudo-Chinese kopitiam (because I wanna try the nasi lemak) place next to e-gate starbuck. The waitress missed out order and wifey was getting agitated. Nasi lemak was so so by my standard but wifey complained that it was too oily (As you can see, wifey have a very high standard, which of course dumbfounded everyone when she decided to get married with me.)
After lunch, I decided to give wifey a treat, so we went to that baskin robin ice cream place. Wifey was like a little kid in there, picking this pointing that with a silly smile on her face. She had a strawberry sundae and I has a scoop of some lime-y sticky icy thingy (which evidently tasted really good).
Total cost of the detour to that basking thingy place:
One strawberry sundae and a scoop of lime-y sticky thing served by an over enthusiastic guy (plus 10% discount) -> RM 20 plus
The look on wifey’s face as she tucks into the strawberry sundae -> priceless!
