of sounds and getting back to what we do...

I am glad to report out although Sue Yi is still crying in the evenings and still having colic issues, Wifey and I have come to the point that we are no longer panicking and running around like no head chicken every time it happens. I guess we have kinda sorta expect her to cry (although we really hope that she wouldn’t) and are more prepared. The thing about Sue Yi is that she has now developed the habit of preferring to sleep in the bouncing net thingy. So, for the lack of other alternative, I went to get another one of that contraption yesterday. We also are now calmer when she cries and will calmly check her diapers or check if she needs milk etc. So it’s not as chaotic as yesterday.
Wifey and I also figured out some of the sounds that Sue Yi makes when she sleeps. This is very much different to about a week ago when we will panic and think that she needs something at the very first sound that she makes. Most of the time she will just talk or mumble in her sleep and not necessarily need anything from us. Sometimes she will just let out a long sigh which most of the time we will just see if she’s ok and then go on with whatever that we are doing. So I guess as cold as it may sound, wifey and I have kinda learnt that sometimes she makes sounds just because so and we don’t necessarily have to pick her up to check for this and that. Which to us is probably a good thing because we can finally get back to our normal pace of life.
Case and point is that although, Sue Yi have had her milk and change of nappies, she still let out sighs and small noises from time to time last night. Wifey and I chose to let her be and she went back to sleep after she had said her piece. For that wifey and I go ”whoppee!”
